I am putting my spin on…
1.”Why are you single? “- Hell, i dunno…same reason you were before you found your husband….
-I also hate this when dates ask me this…. ummm…? Its sort of like my other dreaded question… “Tell me more about yourself”… thats pretty hard to answer, reword that question! say “What do you like to do for fun?”, or “Whats your family like?”…
2. “You’re too picky” – umm no. I am not settling for something that isn’t great, i would rather be single than unhappy in a bad relationship!
3.”What are you waiting for?” – I dont get asked this much, but friends who are in happy relationships but not yet ready for marriage do. I think its rude! None of your business!
4. “I have a guy for you. I don’t know him that well, but…” -people hate being set up, especially if you don’t know them well!!!!
5. “Didn’t invite you because its a couples thing and you’d feel weird”- I dunno, make it group thing instead of a couples thing?

6. “You’ve got to put yourself out there” – i don’t personally get this often, because i am obviously trying…
7. “When you stop trying, you will find someone”- REALLY? i get this a lot, and i am SICK and tired of it!!!!! I am a go-getter, i go after what i want, this is just who I am. I don’t think sitting back ever made things happen. Did Kate Middleton sit back and let William come to her? Absolutely NOT! she decided to go to the same university as him, became friends with him. She went after what she wanted, and she got it. (it came out that her mother helped this all happen, on purpose).
btw, i love Kate Middleton.
